The Brazilian star netted twice in a 3-0 win over Juventude

Neymar has officially broken into the top 10 list of the world’s most prolific active goalscorers, following a standout performance for Santos in the Brazilian Serie A. The Brazilian star netted twice in a 3-0 win over Juventude, and while the match itself may not have made global headlines, the historic implications certainly did.

With his brace, Neymar has drawn level with fellow Brazilian forward Hulk, both now sitting on 445 career goals. The duo currently share the joint-9th position in the ranking of active players with the most official goals in senior football.

Looking ahead, Neymar could realistically overtake Edin Džeko, who sits just three goals ahead. However, climbing any higher will be a monumental challenge. Next in line is Harry Kane, and given the England captain’s current form and output, surpassing him may be a bridge too far — at least in the short term.

🌍 Top 10 Active Goalscorers (All Competitions)

 1. Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) – 938 goals 2. Lionel Messi (Argentina) – 874 goals 3. Robert Lewandowski (Poland) – 712 goals 4. Luis Suárez (Uruguay) – 592 goals 5. Karim Benzema (France) – 498 goals 6. Edinson Cavani (Uruguay) – 463 goals 7. Harry Kane (England) – 454 goals 8. Edin Džeko (Bosnia & Herzegovina) – 448 goals 9. Neymar (Brazil) – 445 goals 9. Hulk (Brazil) – 445 goals
