Real Oviedo - Barcelona 1:3

Barcelona continued their perfect start to the 2025/26 La Liga campaign, but were made to sweat in a tense 3-1 away win over newly promoted side Real Oviedo.

Despite dominating early possession, the Catalan giants failed to capitalise on several clear chances in the first half. That wastefulness was punished in the 33rd minute, when goalkeeper Joan García ventured far outside his box and was caught in no man's land. Oviedo midfielder Alberto Reina seized the moment, firing a long-range effort into the empty net to give the hosts a shock lead.

Barça trailed until the 56th minute, when centre-back Eric García levelled the score with a composed finish. That goal swung momentum back in the visitors’ favour.

Soon after, veteran striker Robert Lewandowski made it 2-1 with a thunderous header that ricocheted off the woodwork and into the net — a classic poacher’s goal from the Polish international. Ronald Araújo sealed the result in the 88th minute, rising highest during a corner routine to slot home the third and ensure all three points for the visitors.
