Sevilla - Barcelona 4:1

>

Barcelona suffered their first defeat of the 2025–26 La Liga season, falling 4–1 to a revitalised Sevilla side in a shocking result at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium.

The Catalan giants were the last remaining unbeaten team in the league, but that status was emphatically erased as Alexis Sánchez and Isaac Romero struck early to put Sevilla in control. Marcus Rashford responded with a brilliant goal before the break, giving Barcelona hope going into the second half.

However, Xavi’s side failed to break through again, and Sevilla capitalised in the final minutes — scoring twice late on to seal a memorable win. The result not only ended Barça’s unbeaten run, but also marked Sevilla’s first home victory in La Liga in 2025, their last having come back in November of the previous year.
