Villarreal pulled level with Real Madrid in the La Liga standings after a tense and hard-fought away victory over Real Sociedad. The visitors looked in full control with a 2–0 lead by the 57th minute, but they allowed La Real to claw their way back — first halving the deficit quickly, then finding a late equaliser as normal time expired.

The decisive moment, however, came deep into stoppage time. Sociedad managed to deny Oluwaseyi in the 95th minute, but just seconds later Alberto Moleiro unleashed a powerful low strike from the edge of the box, sending the ball into the bottom-right corner to seal a stunning 3–2 win for Villarreal.
