Villarreal - Getafe 2:0

Matchweek 15 of La Liga saw high-flying Villarreal host a determined Getafe side pushing for a European spot. The Yellow Submarine needed patience, but ultimately delivered a composed and confident performance.

The breakthrough came at the very end of the first half, when Tajon Buchanan found the net with a well-timed finish to give Villarreal a deserved lead. Moments into the second half, Getafe were dealt a major blow as Borja Mayoral Milla received a straight red card, leaving the visitors down to ten men. On 64 minutes, in-form forward Georges Mikautadze doubled the advantage, effectively sealing the win at 2–0.

With this result, Villarreal climb to 35 points and remain firmly in the title chase — now just two points behind Barcelona and only one adrift of Real Madrid.
