Sevilla - Real Oviedo 4:0

Sevilla delivered a commanding performance in Round 16 of La Liga, brushing aside newly promoted Real Oviedo with a convincing 4–0 home victory to continue their rise up the table.

Facing one of the league’s early relegation candidates, the Andalusian side wasted no time asserting their dominance. The opener arrived in the fourth minute, as Adams latched onto a perfectly weighted through ball from Lucien Agoumé and calmly converted a one-on-one chance.

Sevilla maintained control throughout the first half, and their pressure told again midway through the opening period. Sow unleashed a powerful strike into the bottom corner, doubling the advantage and leaving Real Oviedo with a mountain to climb.

The hosts picked up exactly where they left off after the break. Almost immediately following the restart, Mendy made it three, effectively putting the contest beyond doubt and turning the match into a one-sided affair.

Oviedo’s night went from bad to worse late on when Carmo was shown a second yellow card, reducing the visitors to ten men. Five minutes later, Chidera Ejuke took full advantage of the numerical superiority, adding a fourth goal to complete a dominant display.

The emphatic win sees Sevilla surge from 13th up to eighth place in the La Liga standings.
