Barcelona - Sevilla 5:2

Barcelona delivered another statement performance, thrashing Sevilla 5–2 in spectacular fashion and restoring their four-point lead over rivals Real Madrid at the top of La Liga. It was an attacking masterclass from Hansi Flick’s side, who overwhelmed their opponents despite moments of resistance from the visitors.

The hero of the night was undoubtedly Raphinha. The Brazilian winger produced a stunning hat-trick, becoming the first Barcelona player to score three times against Sevilla since Lionel Messi achieved the feat back in 2019.

Another standout performer was João Cancelo. The Portuguese full-back played a decisive role in the victory, winning both penalties that Raphinha calmly converted and adding a goal of his own to cap a dynamic display down the flank.

From the spot, Raphinha showed remarkable composure against Odysseas Vlachodimos. The Brazilian used a clever pause in his run-up, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way before coolly slotting the ball into the net.

Meanwhile, Hansi Flick also managed his squad carefully ahead of a crucial European test. Young stars Lamine Yamal and Pedri were kept relatively fresh as Barcelona prepare for a demanding second-leg clash against Newcastle United.
