Shakhtar midfielder Viktor Korniienko was injured in the 67th minute of the UPL MD2 game vs Kryvbas.

Medical examination after the match showed rapture of the anterior cruciate ligament of knee joint. The footballer will have operation on September 5. Expected recovery period is 6 months.

Viktor Korniienko participated in one Shakhtar’s game in this season. At all 23-year-old footballer played 29 matches for the club.
