Chris Mepham tells FIFA official site about his excitement ahead of his first World Cup:

- I am in a really good place and trying to make the most of it, because it has affected me in the past when I have been down. It is really important to enjoy that feeling of being positive and happy and to say I have played at a World Cup would be incredible.

We can’t have the mindset of just being happy to be there, we want to see how far we can go. It is a very tough group and there is the added bit of pressure with playing England, although the onus will be on them. They have such a strong team and massive squad depth but there is probably some pressure on them after recent results and we want to try to make the most of that. If we have a good start against USA, we are in the driving seat. We want to get through the group, then go from there.
