Everton could be deducted 12 points for violating the rules regarding the club's profits, The Telegraph reports.

The club is accused of exceeding the level of losses over the past three seasons. Everton had losses of £304 million, while Premier League rules allow a maximum of £105 million for such a period. An independent commission is currently working on this issue; a decision is planned to be made by the end of the year.

The Premier League recommended applying the maximum penalty - deducting 12 points from Everton. In addition, the club faces a transfer ban.
