Chelsea to Buy Sarr from Strasbourg for 20 Million and Loan Him Back
The transfer of Mamadou Sarr will take place between two clubs owned by BlueCo. Both Chelsea and Strasbourg share the same owner, which made negotiations straightforward and brought a profit of 10 million euros to the French side.
Last summer, Lyon was in a rush to sell the promising Sarr, and Strasbourg managed to secure the deal first, paying 10 million euros. Now, just six months later, they have resold him to their friendly counterpart, Chelsea, not only making a profit but also retaining the player on loan for the next half-season.
The 19-year-old central defender has become a key player for Strasbourg, featuring in 14 matches across all competitions.
