Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has officially confirmed the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti

In a historic move, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has officially confirmed the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti as the new head coach of the Brazil national team.

The legendary Italian manager will step down from his role at Real Madrid at the end of the La Liga season and immediately take charge of the five-time World Cup champions — becoming the first non-Brazilian to lead the Seleção in their illustrious history.

Ancelotti’s debut in the dugout for Brazil is set for June 6, when they face Ecuador in a crucial FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier. Expectations are sky-high as the South American giants look to usher in a new era under one of football’s most decorated tacticians.

A new chapter for Brazil — and for Ancelotti

With a résumé that includes Champions League triumphs with AC Milan and Real Madrid, and league titles in four different countries, Ancelotti brings unparalleled experience to the Brazilian setup.
