Slavia Praha - Bodø/Glimt 2:2

Slavia Prague and Bodø/Glimt played out a high-octane 2-2 draw in the Czech capital — a match packed with drama, missed penalties, and stunning goals.

For Bodø/Glimt, this was a night to remember. Making their debut in the main rounds of the Champions League, the Norwegian side marked several milestones: first penalty miss, first goal at this level, and a hard-fought first comeback draw away from home.

The hosts came out flying in front of a packed crowd in Prague. Although the visitors could have taken the lead in the 12th minute after a defensive blunder from Mbodji gifted Hugo Vetlesen a golden chance, it was Staněk who came to the rescue with a brilliant save.

Mbodji quickly made amends. On 27 minutes, the Senegalese full-back burst forward and converted a low cross from Provod, slotting home the opener in style — 1-0 to Slavia.

Just before the break, the Czech side hoped for a penalty after a handball shout, but the referee ruled out any chance of VAR intervention due to an earlier foul in the build-up.

Bodø/Glimt were handed a golden opportunity early in the second half after Mbodji was adjudged to have fouled inside the box. However, Staněk once again proved heroic, denying Högh from the spot with a superb save.

The match seemed to tilt heavily in Slavia’s favour in the 74th minute, as Mbodji once again connected with Douděra in a near-identical move to score his second of the night. It was turning into a dream performance — until he was subbed off just minutes later.

And then, the magic faded. Bodø/Glimt pulled one back quickly, and as Slavia pushed forward recklessly in the final minutes, they left themselves exposed. On the 90th minute, the visitors stunned the home crowd with a breathtaking counter-attack, finished off by a wonder strike from Fet — 2-2.

Still, there was late drama to come. Slavia nearly stole all three points in stoppage time when Ivan Schranz found himself clean through on goal. But on a night full of near-misses and “what ifs,” it was not to be.
