Juventus - AS Roma 2:1

Juventus claimed a crucial 2–1 victory over AS Roma, reigniting the Serie A race for a UEFA Champions League spot and cutting the gap to the top four to just one point. In a high-stakes showdown in Turin, the Bianconeri delivered when it mattered most, showing composure, intensity and attacking quality.

The breakthrough came just before half-time as Francisco Conceição opened the scoring, finishing off a moment of real class. Andrea Cambiaso provided a perfectly weighted outside-of-the-boot assist, slicing open the Roma defence and setting the tone for the contest.

After the break, Juventus doubled their advantage through Loïs Openda, who netted his first-ever goal in Serie A. The debut strike proved decisive, lifting the hosts into fifth place and putting real pressure on their direct rivals from the capital.

Roma refused to go quietly. On 75 minutes, Tommaso Baldanzi pulled one back, injecting fresh drama into the final stages and forcing Juventus onto the back foot. The visitors pushed hard for an equaliser, but the hosts always looked capable of sealing the game on the counter.

The closest chance to extend the lead fell to Kenan Yıldız, whose powerful effort struck the post late on. Despite a tense finale and sustained pressure, Torino side held firm to secure a statement win in the race for Europe.
