Danilo Pereira believes Portugal can go all the way at FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

At PSG you have several teammates you could face in the World Cup, such as Neymar and Marquinhos, in the round of 16. Do you joke about it?
We’ve talked about it, saying we have to avoid finishing top of our group and them second or vice-versa (laughs). I don’t think anyone wants Portugal versus Brazil in the round of 16. I’d prefer to play Brazil in the final than in the round of 16.

The coach Fernando Santos has said the best is yet to come for Portugal. Is it viable for you to dream of winning the World Cup in Qatar?
Of course I believe it’s possible, knowing the players we have. We have a huge group of top players and some great players aren’t even in the squad. Unfortunately it’s a restricted list, but with the quality we have, whoever plays in this World Cup with give it their all to get to where we want to be, which is to reach the final.
