Watsko: A good foreign coach will not come to Shakhtar
Journalist Viktor Watsko shared his opinion about Shakhtar's search for a new head coach:
- Shakhtar is looking for a good, high-quality, strong coach in Europe. But personally, I do not believe that such coach will come to Ukraine at such a time. Even for big money. A strong coach always has work options. I do not believe that a coach with work options in peaceful Europe would agree to work in war-torn Ukraine.
Dario Srna is currently a European coach with a Ukrainian mentality for Shakhtar. With perfect knowledge of the team and the realities of work. He does not need adaptation and he has the support of the president. Shakhtar and Srna must face the truth and agree that they cannot do without each other. Then Dario will immerse himself in the work, choose his coaching staff and move on.
The main question is who does Srna see himself in football - a coach or a manager?
