Luis Díaz's father freed after 13 days in captivity
Liverpool player Luis Díaz's father has been released by National Liberation Army (ELN) who kidnapped him 13 days ago.
The armed group handed over Luis Manuel Díaz to a humanitarian commission made up of the Ombudsman's Office, the United Nations, the Catholic Church and a delegation of the Red Cross, says El Tiempo. They also quoted authorities as saying that he was in a good state of health, with no signs of mistreatment
A leader of ELN admitted that kidnapping Luis Manuel was "a mistake", adding: "Luis is a symbol of Colombia and we feel him as such in the ELN".
