Carlo Ancelotti

Italian media reports suggest that Carlo Ancelotti is the leading candidate to become the next head coach of the Brazilian national football team. The move comes after plans to recruit Pep Guardiola fell through.

Former Brazil forward Ronaldo, who is actively campaigning for the presidency of the Brazilian Football Confederation, had initially aimed to bring Guardiola on board. However, the Manchester City manager has made it clear that his current role will be his last in football management.

Undeterred, Ronaldo has shifted his focus to Ancelotti, a manager of equal pedigree. The Italian's contract with Real Madrid is set to expire in 2026, aligning perfectly with Brazil’s timeline to prepare for the next World Cup.

If successful, the appointment of Ancelotti would mark a bold step for Brazil, entrusting one of the most decorated managers in football history with their national team’s future.
