Borussia D - Bayern 2:3

The 114th edition of Germany’s fiercest rivalry delivered drama, quality and a defining moment in the Bundesliga title race, as Bayern Munich edged Borussia Dortmund 3–2 in a pulsating Klassiker at Signal Iduna Park.

For Dortmund, it was a night that may well have ended their championship hopes. For Bayern, it was another demonstration of resilience — and the relentless brilliance of Harry Kane.

The hosts made the brighter start. On 26 minutes, Nico Schlotterbeck rose highest to power home a free-kick delivery from Daniel Svensson, sending the Yellow Wall into raptures. Dortmund defended with discipline before the break, keeping Kane unusually quiet and frustrating the league leaders.

After 54 minutes, Serge Gnabry slipped a clever pass into the path of Harry Kane, who made no mistake to level the contest. Sixteen minutes later, the England captain stepped up again, calmly converting from the penalty spot after a foul by Schlotterbeck to turn the game on its head.

To their credit, Borussia Dortmund refused to surrender. In the 83rd minute, Svensson found the corner with a composed finish to make it 2–2. Sensing vulnerability, the hosts pushed forward in search of a decisive blow. Instead, they were punished.

In the 87th minute, Joshua Kimmich reacted quickest to a loose ball on the edge of the area and unleashed a stunning first-time strike into the net, sealing a dramatic 3–2 victory for Bayern Munich.
