But Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City responded with composure. Before the interval, Sávio restored parity for the visitors, cleverly redirecting a dangerous cross from Jérémy Doku. The equaliser shifted momentum and set the stage for a thrilling second half.

The decisive figure of the night was Omar Marmoush. The Egyptian forward stepped up after the break, first putting Manchester City ahead with a sharp finish from close range following a precise assist by Matheus Nunes.

Moments later, Marmoush produced the standout moment of the match. Picking up the ball outside the penalty area, he unleashed a stunning long-range strike that flew into the top corner, leaving Aaron Ramsdale with no chance.
