John Stones to Leave Manchester City This Summer

Manchester City have officially confirmed that John Stones will leave the club at the end of the season, bringing an end to a remarkable chapter in the defender’s career. The 31-year-old centre-back will not be offered a contract extension, marking a significant transition for the reigning Premier League giants.
Regarded as one of the last remaining senior figures of Pep Guardiola’s golden era, John Stones played a key role in Manchester City’s domestic dominance, lifting six Premier League titles during his time at the club. Since arriving from Everton earlier in his career, he has been synonymous with the club’s evolution into a European powerhouse.
However, this season has proven challenging. Persistent injury problems limited Stones to just 16 appearances, with the defender missing a significant portion of the campaign. As a result, his influence within the squad gradually diminished, paving the way for a new defensive generation at the Etihad.
According to Transfermarkt, John Stones is currently valued at around €15 million. His next destination remains unclear, but given his experience and pedigree, interest across Europe—and potentially beyond—is expected.
