A new star is rapidly rising in Formula 1. Just 19 years old, Andrea Kimi Antonelli delivered another sensational performance by claiming his third consecutive win of the season, dominating the Miami Grand Prix.
The Italian prodigy has now etched his name into the record books, becoming only the third driver in Formula 1 history to follow up a maiden victory with wins in the next two races.
Starting from pole position, Andrea once again struggled off the line, losing positions early to Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris. However, showing maturity beyond his years, the Mercedes driver remained composed and executed a decisive overtake on lap 28 to reclaim the lead.
From that moment on, Antonelli controlled the race with authority, keeping Lando Norris and the chasing McLaren at bay all the way to the chequered flag. Norris ultimately secured second place, continuing his strong run of form.
Drama unfolded behind them as Charles Leclerc, who had been running in third, made a costly mistake in the closing stages. Damage to his Ferrari forced him to drop down the order, allowing Oscar Piastri, George Russell, and Max Verstappen to move ahead.
Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton endured another frustrating outing for Ferrari, finishing only seventh and raising further questions about the team’s consistency this season.
Further down the top 10, midfield contenders impressed, with Franco Colapinto scoring valuable points for Alpine, while both Williams drivers — Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon — rounded out the points-paying positions.
