Bayern - PSG 1:1

Anyone expecting an attacking spectacle between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich was left stunned. Instead of a high-scoring classic, Luis Enrique delivered a masterclass in control and pragmatism as PSG battled to a 1-1 draw in Munich, sealing a dramatic 6-5 aggregate victory and booking their place in yet another European final.

The night, however, began with all the signs of chaos. Just three minutes into the match, Ousmane Dembele fired the visitors ahead after brilliant work from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia down the left flank. The Georgian winger sliced through the Bayern defence before delivering a perfectly weighted pass for Dembele to finish with confidence.

For the next 15 minutes, both sides traded attacks in an open and entertaining contest. Then the game changed completely. PSG turned the match into a tactical war of attrition, slowing the tempo, closing spaces and frustrating the German giants at every opportunity.

Despite dominating possession for long stretches, Bayern Munich struggled to create a truly clear-cut chance across the 90 minutes. The closest came when Jamal Musiala tested the goalkeeper from around 15 metres, but the effort was comfortably dealt with. Musiala endured another quiet evening overall, while most of Bayern’s attacking threat came through the wings, with Luis Diaz and Michael Olise doing their best to stretch the Parisian defence. It ultimately was not enough.

Usually devastating on the counter-attack, Paris Saint-Germain appeared unusually cautious this time. Reliability and defensive balance took priority over flair, and the French champions rarely produced the explosive transitions that have defined their European campaign.

There was still late drama. On the fourth minute of stoppage time, Harry Kane reignited Bayern’s hopes with a crucial goal that briefly restored belief inside the Allianz Arena. Yet in the final moments, the hosts could not mount one last charge. PSG defended with the same intensity and organisation that they usually reserve for attacking football.
