FIFA Women's World Cup 2023: Sweden advance to semi-finals after beating Japan

The Swedish national team became the second semi-finalist of the 2023 Women's World Cup. The Scandinavians beat Japan - 2:1.

In the first half, Amanda Ilestedt scored, and after the break, Philippa Angeldal, who converted a penalty. In Japan, Riko Ueki hit the crossbar from the penalty spot. And in the 87th minute, Honoki Hayashi scored the only goal of her team.

In the semifinals, the Swedes will play with the Spaniards. The second pair will be determined tomorrow, when the Australia-France and England-Colombia matches will take place.
