Napoli - Pisa 3:2

Napoli continue their perfect start to the Serie A season, emerging as the only team yet to drop a point. A thrilling 3-2 victory over newly-promoted Pisa in the final match of Matchday 4 sees Antonio Conte’s men take sole possession of the top of the Serie A standings.

The hosts broke the deadlock just before the interval, with Gilmour finishing off a well-worked move inside the box. However, the second half delivered most of the drama. Pisa were awarded a penalty following a handball, which briefly leveled the playing field.

But it didn’t take long for Napoli to respond. Around 15 minutes later, experienced full-back Leonardo Spinazzola found the net with a clinical low strike from outside the area, restoring the lead. The momentum stayed with the hosts as, in the 82nd minute, striker Lorenzo Lucca made it 3-1 with a powerful drive into the near top corner after receiving a precise pass inside the box.

Pisa refused to go down quietly, pulling one back in the dying minutes to make it 3-2, but Napoli held firm to seal all three points.
