Juventus CEO to Step Down Amid Financial Fair Play Investigation
Juventus have officially confirmed that CEO Maurizio Scanavino will leave the club when his term ends on November 7, as the Italian giants face increasing scrutiny from UEFA over potential Financial Fair Play (FFP) breaches.
Scanavino was appointed in January 2023, following the high-profile resignation of the club's entire board of directors, including long-time president Andrea Agnelli. His departure marks another major shake-up at the Serie A club as it continues to navigate both legal and financial turbulence.
While Italian media have speculated that current Toulouse FC president Damien Comolli is the front-runner to replace Scanavino at the Allianz Stadium, Juventus have yet to make any official announcement regarding his successor.
The timing of the leadership change is particularly notable as UEFA has launched an investigation into Juventus for potential violations of Financial Fair Play regulations covering the period from 2022–23 to 2024–25.
Juventus have already faced disciplinary action in recent years, including a points deduction and fines related to accounting irregularities. Another FFP breach could result in further sanctions—possibly even impacting European competition eligibility.
