Fiorentina - Udinese 5:1

Fiorentina emphatically ended their long wait for a first victory of the Serie A season, dismantling Udinese 5–1 at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in a one-sided encounter that felt like a turning point. The result not only delivered three crucial points, but also signalled the end of a difficult spell for the Viola.

The match turned into a nightmare for the visitors almost immediately. In the 8th minute, Maduka Okoye was shown a straight red card, leaving Udinese with ten men and facing an uphill battle. Fiorentina wasted no time exploiting the numerical advantage, pinning their opponents deep and dominating possession.

The pressure told before half-time as the hosts struck three times in a devastating spell. Rolando Mandragora opened the scoring, before goals from Albert Guðmundsson and Nadir Ndour turned the contest into a rout by the interval.

Any hope of a response after the break was swiftly extinguished. Moise Kean produced a clinical brace to pile on the misery for Udinese, showcasing Fiorentina’s attacking sharpness. A late strike from Oier Zarraga Solé offered little more than a consolation for the visitors.
