Paulo Fonseca emphasized the difficulty of dominating games in Serie A

Paulo Fonseca addressed the media ahead of AC Milan's upcoming Serie A clash against Empoli, sharing his tactical approach and the challenges of Italian football.

"Should we play with two forwards? It’s an idea I’m considering. It could be an option when I feel it gives us an advantage," Fonseca revealed during the press conference.

"In Italy, you need to have 'two faces' in attack. We showed one against Juventus in Serie A and Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League, but now we’ll need a different approach against Empoli and Atalanta."

The Portuguese coach emphasized the difficulty of dominating games in Serie A: "It’s not easy to impose yourself in Italy—it’s tough against Empoli, and it’s tough against Atalanta. We want balance; we want to build a team that creates chances while staying secure defensively. We had a chance to dominate against Slovan after going 1-0 up in Bratislava, but conceding a goal changed the game entirely."

AC Milan will be looking to bounce back after a challenging run of fixtures, with Fonseca aiming to strike the perfect balance between attack and defense in the coming games.
