West Ham - Tottenham 0:3

Tottenham Hotspur returned to winning ways in dominant fashion, sweeping aside West Ham United with a confident 3–0 victory at home. The result sends Spurs up to second place in the Premier League table, level on points with Arsenal.

The game turned in Tottenham’s favour when Tomáš Souček was shown a straight red card early in the second half for a reckless challenge on João Palhinha. West Ham were already under pressure, and the dismissal all but sealed their fate.

Although Cristian Romero had a goal ruled out in the first half, it took just two minutes after the break for Spurs to break through. Pape Matar Sarr capitalised on poor set-piece defending to slot home from close range in the 47th minute.

Soon after the red card, teenage sensation Lukas Bergvall scored his first-ever Premier League goal to double the lead. Defender Micky van de Ven added a third late on to complete the rout.

Tottenham now sit on 9 points after four matches — level with Arsenal — while West Ham find themselves in early-season trouble, sitting 18th with just 3 points and a -6 goal difference.
