Just Another Night for Mohamed Salah: Liverpool Star Breaks Another Club Record
It was business as usual for Mohamed Salah on Sunday evening — and by "usual," we mean rewriting history once again.
The Liverpool forward struck deep into stoppage time to snatch all three points against Burnley, delivering not just a win for the reigning champions but also another page in the Premier League history books.
With that goal, Salah surpassed Andy Cole to move into fourth place on the Premier League all-time scorers list. The Egyptian King now boasts 188 goals, leaving him ahead of Cole (187) and closing in on the giants above.
Next in line? None other than Wayne Rooney with 208 goals. After that, it’s Harry Kane (213) and the undisputed record-holder, Alan Shearer, whose towering 260-goal mark still looks far off — but with Salah, nothing seems impossible.
New Club Record: Salah Becomes Liverpool’s Most Prolific Penalty Taker
That late winner also carried historical weight at the club level. It was Salah’s 35th penalty goal for Liverpool, a new all-time record for the Reds. He overtakes club legend Billy Liddell, who had held the record with 34 since the 1950s.
