This will be Zidane's first foray into international management

Zinedine Zidane has reportedly reached an agreement to become the next head coach of the France national team, with all final hurdles now cleared. According to El Mundo Deportivo, the legendary former midfielder has settled the last remaining condition, paving the way for his appointment after the 2026 World Cup.

The key issue was Zidane's desire to continue living in Madrid, where he has made his home since his playing days. After negotiations with the French Football Federation, it was agreed that Zidane could remain in the Spanish capital and travel to France only during national team camps and major tournaments. This arrangement allows him to balance his personal life with his new role.

This will be Zidane's first foray into international management. His coaching career has so far been defined by two highly successful spells at Real Madrid, where he won 11 trophies, including three consecutive Champions League titles. His appointment as France's head coach is seen as a natural progression for one of the country's most iconic football figures.
