The 51-year-old Danish tactician has signed a contract with the North London side until the summer of 2028

Tottenham Hotspur have officially confirmed the appointment of Thomas Frank as their new head coach, marking a significant shift in the club’s long-term project. The 51-year-old Danish tactician has signed a contract with the North London side until the summer of 2028, ending his impressive six-year spell at Brentford.

Frank built a reputation as one of the most forward-thinking managers in the Premier League, guiding Brentford FC from the Championship to the English top flight and establishing the Bees as a solid mid-table outfit. Known for his flexible tactical setups — balancing high pressing with a pragmatic defensive structure — and his exceptional ability to develop talent on a limited budget, Frank stood out as the ideal candidate to lead Spurs into a new era.

As part of the deal, Tottenham agreed to pay a compensation package believed to be around €12 million (£10m) to secure Frank’s release from his contract with Brentford. He brings with him a trusted coaching team including Justin Cochrane, Chris Haslam, Joe Newton, and Andreas Georgson — the latter joining from Manchester United.
